Common questions
My MIDI keyboard connects, but notes don’t appear.
Open the app’s MIDI input dropdown and select the port that sends keyboard notes. A controller may expose several inputs; try its keyboard or MIDI port. Check that your cable supports data, and reconnect the keyboard if necessary.
I can see notes, but I can’t hear sound.
Check your device’s media volume, audio output, and the app’s sound and mute controls. If you are using another music app for sound, confirm that it receives the same keyboard’s MIDI input and has an instrument loaded.
Can I use another app’s piano sound?
Use the app’s mute controls to silence its piano, then configure your preferred music app to receive your keyboard input. Audio and MIDI routing depend on the other app and your device.
Do I need a MIDI keyboard or an account?
No account is required. External MIDI hardware is optional for exploring chords and using the learning and playback features.
Are the numbers under the notes finger numbers?
Chord-tone intervals identify each note’s role in the chord, such as root, third, fifth, or seventh. These are different from fingering suggestions.
How do I report a problem?
